Copyright and takedown
PFPGeeks is a free gallery of profile pictures collected from around the web. The pictures belong to their creators and rights holders. If you own a picture here and want it removed, or credited to you, we will sort it out quickly.
Ask for a picture to be removed
Email [email protected] with the subject "Takedown request" and include:
- The link to each picture's page on PFPGeeks, for example https://www.pfpgeeks.com/luffy-pfp/luffy-pfp-2/. The quickest way is the "Report this picture" link under any picture.
- The original work, or a link to where you published it.
- Your name and how to reach you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, the rights holder or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them.
- Your signature. Typing your full name is fine.
These are the parts of a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. ยง 512(c)(3)). We handle requests from anywhere in the same way.
What happens next
We reply to confirm we have your request and aim to remove the picture and its page within 5 business days. If you would rather keep the picture up with credit to you, tell us and we will add it. Search engines can take a few days to drop the old page.
If a picture was removed by mistake
If you own a picture we removed and believe the request was a mistake, email us with the page link, why you think it was removed in error and your contact details. We will look at it again and, where the law requires it, pass your counter-notice to the person who asked for the removal.
What we don't host
Every picture on PFPGeeks has to work as a profile picture for anyone. We don't host, and remove as soon as we find or are told about:
- Sexual or sexually suggestive content, and anything that sexualises minors.
- Graphic violence or gore.
- Hate symbols, or content that attacks people for who they are.
- Photos of real private people, or anyone's personal information, without their consent.
- Content that harasses or impersonates a real person.
- Anything illegal, or files that are not pictures.
Report a picture
Under every picture there is a "Report this picture" link. It opens an email to us with the page address filled in: tell us what is wrong and we will look at it. You can also reach us through the contact page.
